The countdown is on....

As strung out as we may get and as busy or as long as some days may seem I am actually really, really sad to say goodbye to summer.

Soaking up the last couple of days with good friends and good fun.

Alli and the kids came over to swim and play...
Here are the littles grabbing a snack!

This was the next day...SOOO much sunscreen.  She's a safety girl....Loads it on!
Shoving popcorn in her face!

Earlier in the week Patti & Tim asked us to let out and feed their sweet puppy, Lexi while they were out for the day.  Well...that was NOT sufficient for Annabelle....she insisted on bringing Lexi over for the day.  I will say, she did a great job for the three or four hours she was here!  She played with her and Bailey non-stop, hand fed her dinner, cooled her off with some water out back....It was very, very sweet!

Fast forward a few days and she insisted on starting her own business..well, three to be exact:
Pet Sitting
Party Planning
Problem Solving

Here's the flyer she made for biz #1 which she wanted to plaster across every park in the region because you know...that's where people with dogs go.....
While I appreciate her reasoning, I convinced her to start small and we dropped it in Miss Patti and Mr. Tim's mailbox.

Phrases she said today that I don't want to ever forget:

"Mom, what happens when business is booming?!"
"I'm going to focus on pet sitting first until I formulate a solid plan for problem solving"

Oh, there were more but I can't remember them right now...but seriously SO SO SO cute.

She set up an office in the living room and created an intake sheet for her first pet client.

I love her.

A little about the Problem Solving Business.... Sample problems people can ask for advice about:

"My three year old is crying all night, what do I do?"
Get earplugs

"My dog is parking all night, what do I do?"
Get earplugs

When asked about a problem that does not involve loud noises at night she responded with

"There are too many weeds in my lawn, what do I do?"
Start a weeding schedule.  Weed after breakfast on Monday.  Weed after lunch on Tuesday.  On Wednesday weed in the daytime, then by Sunday you shouldn't have weeds.  Don't be lazy.  Pull your weeds.
