The girls and I headed up to Chicago to meet Adam for his off day, and the series there. It was awesome! We all had a blast....so many great moments and memories!!
Dinner the first night! The girls did awesome on the 4.5 hour car trip and were so excited about the big city! Adam was flying in from Colorado later that night and they couldn't WAIT to see him in the morning!
Chocolate treats after dinner!
A stop in the American Girl Store to look around!
I texted this to Adam whose response was
"That'll be $750 Ma'am"
The Water Tower from our hotel room
Off Day!
Sprinting through fountains..

While Adam and Annabelle had a beach lunch, rode the rides at Navy Pier and had some good old fashion fun, I enjoyed an espresso in the hotel while Piper napped!
BEACH FUN!
The mini-cartwheel
The next day when Adam had to go back to work the girls and I hit up the Field Museum...
Pretty amazing stuff!
Sue, the world's most complete dinosaur remains!
Annabelle wrote a little report about her trip and mentioned that Sue's head on the skeleton in only a model as the real head is too heavy to be attached and is in a separate exhibit upstairs.
Also, we were all surprised to learn that she was discovered in South Dakota, and named after the archeologist who found her...Sue! Amazing....!
Piper in a pueblo!
Annabelle discovering her own bones!
Nap time/downtime
And some of the sweetest few hours..The American Girl Store!
It was awesome!
The girls both picked out doll carrying back packs...Piper picked a puppy and Annabelle chose to have Caroline's hair and nails done!
Caroline at the salon (right behind them)
The backpacks!!
Every single person that walked by us commented on how adorable Piper was with the backpack. Even an "in-character" beggar broke character to look at her and laugh!
Dinner after and admiring her doll!
Disney Store!
It didn't make it home with us...!!!
Next day...Aquarium!
Beluga Whales!
Submarine fun!
Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park
ABSOLUTELY amazing and beautiful! It was inspired by the Fountain in Versailles and meant to represent Lake Michigan. The plaza takes up an entire city block and is just such a peaceful and beautiful place. It's like being transported to Europe in an instant!
Rose Garden at the fountain.
BEAUTIFUL!
While I was packing up Annabelle wrote this for housekeeping all on her own!
Our hearts melted!
We had an unbelievably fun time, and Annabelle thinks we're ready to take on NYC next year! I'm down!!!
Annabelle's Report on Chicago!
Spelling is really coming along!
Yesterday Piper just looked so sweet and like such a little human...
On Tuesday's she has a "Little Sprouts" class at the botanical garden. Adam was home so he came with us...them, looking at the fish!
