I spent a lot of time today remembering all of Annabelle's "firsts". The first time we brought her home, the first time we felt like parents, the first time she smiled, the first time she rolled over, the first laugh, food, funny face...the list goes on and on.
Today we had two new "firsts".
Her first ride in the jogging stroller without the car seat:
Seriously, I can't believe how big she is.... The super porridge is aging her.
Later tonight a not so fun first. The first tornado siren going off when Adam wasn't home! Annabelle and I took cover in the basement untill it passed. Her face says it all. I felt so bad for the dogs...without Adam I couldn't carry them down. We're going to have to practice. I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time in the storm room.
It feels like a movie, especially because the basement door is a hatch in the dining room floor.
It's like "Twister" without Bill Paxton or all of the destruction. (fingers crossed)
On this weekend's To-Do List:
-Create a comfy storm room with chairs & supplies
